Why language matters: what we can learn from the Living Indus initiative
Professor Adil Najam visited UNEP-WCMC to speak about the Living Indus initiative in Pakistan
Human activities are damaging and degrading many of the habitats and ecosystems on which we all rely. Ecosystem restoration is urgently needed for nature to recover for the benefit of people and the planet.
We provide support via policy, legal and planning frameworks to scale-up efficient restoration action to achieve restoration ambitions at all scales, from local to global.
Our experts create an accessible knowledge base allowing planners and practitioners to prioritise effective restoration efforts that deliver measurable, long-term environmental, social and economic benefits for people and nature everywhere.
We also help to deliver and implement monitoring mechanisms to track and incentivise effective global restoration efforts and enhance adaptive ecosystem management.
